Individuals can register on Baidu Crowdtest and use project practice tasks. Some annotation projects require passing certification, and some certifications limit attempts. The homepage says it charges users no fees.

Task vouchers and cash redemption

Payment terms

Tasks earn gift vouchers. The published cash-redemption page for non-mainland residents shows 50 vouchers = 1 yuan, paid after withholding to a supported bank debit card linked through Baidu Wallet. Requests are grouped for payment the following month.

This bank-card route excludes mainland residents, who use a separate withdrawal process. Identity, bank and linked-phone verification apply.

The field-research guide says most such studies are for people in the Beijing area, with some telephone interviews for others. In-person interviews require visiting Baidu’s offices.
