Weekly payment methods
Payment termsOutlier says payments are processed on Tuesdays for work completed the previous Tuesday through Monday (midnight UTC), via PayPal, Airtm or ACH bank transfer.

Project-based hourly pay
Advertised rateRates depend on the project, expertise and location. Outlier’s generalist and coding community intakes each advertise up to US$30/hour; mathematics advertises up to US$50/hour for core work. A regional example, Hindi voice evaluation in India, advertises up to US$7.50/hour.
These are listing-specific examples, not pay limits for all Outlier work. The generalist and coding intakes match applicants to projects as they become available; both list Argentina, Australia, Canada, the UK, Mexico, New Zealand, Puerto Rico and the US. Mathematics also lists India and requires relevant degree study, LaTeX and English proficiency. Hindi voice work requires native or high fluency. Bonuses are separate from advertised base rates and depend on project terms.

When moving country or US state, Outlier asks contributors to update their profile's Primary Location and may require a new government ID. International travel remains subject to destination restrictions; masking a restricted location with a VPN is prohibited.
Current policy effective 15 July 2026. It does not publish a blanket travel-request requirement.
