Payment termsUS residents need US-based PayPal. For other residents, the page allows residence or birth country, but also says blocked cashouts require PayPal and ID to match current residence. PayPal accounts in Algeria, Egypt or Malawi need a linked bank account.

Working abroad
Studies and cashouts require your country of residence
Official information
Prolific says studies and cashouts are available only while you are in your registered country of residence. For temporary travel, keep your account details unchanged and cash out before leaving or after returning.
Temporary travel. The holiday article describes temporary loss of study access, whereas the relocation article warns that participating abroad or using a VPN may put an account on hold. Permanent relocation has separate support and verification steps.
Permanent moves require a supported destination and updated details

Prolific directs permanent movers to contact support with their new address, match their PayPal account to the new country, and be ready for renewed ID verification. Moving to an unsupported country prevents continued participation.
